Also, gaining the respect and confidence of all the District’s patrons and retaining that respect. Her third goal is to work with the Superintendent to employ and retain excellent administrators, teachers and support staff.

Kathy says, “The highest priority of a Board of Education is to set goals for the District that will provide direction and the assurance that our students achieve all they are capable of and more. Today’s world is not the world that I grew up in. Our children today face so many challenges that were not present when I was growing up. But, they also have so many more opportunities available to them that were not there before. They have to be completely prepared for these challenges and opportunities. To serve on a School Board is a privilege that I do not take lightly and appreciate the fact that I have been given this opportunity to help our students now and in the future to obtain all the skills and knowledge they need to make it in the world of today and tomorrow.”
