Jeanette was born and raised in Marshall. She has a sister and two brothers,

Jeanette's goals while serving on the School Board include
- "I want to see every opportunity to succeed placed on the table and
devoured by all of the children of the Marshall School District"
-
"I want to see our schools as a safe and superior learning environment.
This school board along with the staff of our district can only attain this
with hard work and the support of the patrons. This support is only attained
by establishing trust and confidence of our patrons. I feel we are making
great strides toward this but must continue to pursue this"
Jeanette is an active member of the Marshall Chamber of Commerce. She served
on their board for three years, establishing the “Partners In Patriotism”
which is placing a flag in subscriber's yards on Memorial Day, Flag Day, 4th of
July, Labor Day, September 11th, and Veterans Day. She belongs to the Ambassadors
Club which is composed of former members and officers of the Marshall Chamber of
Commerce, and she's an active member the Mid-Day Optimist Club serving as President

clubs, organizations, etc. with any advertising needs they might have.
"I was born and raised in Marshall. For all but about 5 years I have lived
here. While enjoying my time spent away from Marshall I must agree with Dorothy.
'There’s no place like home.' I want to see more of our children have the opportunity
to gain employment in our area so that they can stay here. When moving into an area
one of the most asked questions is 'How good are the SCHOOLS?' Marshall is alive
and well and with growth of opportunities in our community our schools will get
stronger and stronger along with our community."
