Welcome To Eastwood Elementary School! Thank you for visiting our web page. Eastwood is a Kindergarten and Third Grade Attendance Center for the district. Eastwood Elementary houses 7 sections of regular Third Grade education and 2 Kindergarten classes. We support the needs of our individual students through our special education classes, Title One Reading/Communication Arts programs, ESL, Speech, and OT/PT. Our elite staff includes Mrs. Nancy Kleinschmidt, counselor. She offers individual, small and whole class guidance and counseling. She is a wonderful resource for students and a talented individual. The delightful third grade teachers are master teachers. They are hard working and enjoy each and every day with their students. Balanced Literacy is a philosophy in which Eastwood Elementary teachers have extensive training. We are in the fourth year of implementing the Math Investigations curriculum. We are implementing the new Treasures Reading Curriculum from MacMillan/McGraw/Hill. Our treasured and committed staff members are dedicated to providing a quality education for our youth. Our successful school discipline is based on the Ozanam B.I.S.T. model. “We accept all children where they are and want them to have a safe learning environment. It is O.K. for a child to have a problem, but it is not O.K. for the child to stay stuck there.
