Recently, the Marshall High School Art Department was asked to participate in a brand new program
that is being developed through the Nelson Atkins Museum in Kansas City. A selection of Mr. Harris’s
art and photography students are being teamed up to collaborate with another school, Oak Park High
School from Kansas City. This collaboration will allow student groups to create their own webpage,
link to artwork at the Nelson and develop blogs so others can contribute to discussions on their
chosen art work. This project will serve as a model for other schools and teachers throughout the
United States.
The National Merit Scholarship Corporation has announced that two Marshall High School
seniors, Mason and Gabi, have received recognition for outstanding academic
achievement. Commended students placed among the top five percent in the nation of those who
entered the competition by taking the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT).
Congratulations Mason and Gabi!!
