INTRODUCTION:

Your geographical team has to give a presentation to the Governor of Missouri on your region of the state. You need to include a map, description, natural resources, and interesting facts about each region.

TASK:

Each team will research and gather facts to make a multimedia presentation highlighting a region of Missouri.

PROCEDURE:

Students will be divided into five Research teams. Each team will research a different geographical region in Missouri. The regions are Ozark Highlands, Osage Plains, Glaciated Till Plains, Mississippi Lowlands, and the Alluvial River Plain. Each team will consist of the following jobs: Project Coordinator, Geographer, Historian, and Conservationsist.

Each Research team will create a project to their choosing. Ideas include:
PowerPoint Presentation
Inspiration Web
Word/Paint
Poster

Each project will need to include the following information:
Region's Name
Landform description
Major Cities (at least two)
Natural Resources
Three Interesting Facts
Map of Missouri showing the Region of study

JOB DESCRIPTIONS:

PROJECT COORDINATOR: Help design your team's final project and include copyrights.

GEOGRAPHER: Study maps of Missouri to locate the geographical regions. Locate two cities in your team's region.

HISTORIAN: Research interesting facts about your team's region.

CONSERVATIONIST: Research natural resources and land descriptions of your team's region.
