The Process
 

In this WebQuest, you will:
- Learn about famous people in Missouri’s
history
- Practice research skills
- Follow step-by-step directions
- Write a personal narrative and memorize
the script
- Create informational poster (***Bonus***)
- Role play
Materials:
Procedure:
- Look at the following site and apply
for a Missourian to portray. Famous Missourians List
- Once you've been assigned a person, you
will begin your research. Some work will be completed in class,
but you will be responsible for working on your role at home also.
- Scoring guides are provided to aid you
in your research and preparing for your presentation, refer back to
them to keep you on task.
- You will need to write a narrative that
you will also use as a script. Remember.....you are that person,
so write it in first person.
- Have another student help you proofread
your script, then turn a copy in to your teacher for grading.
- Memorize your script and have class members
listen as you practice.
- Gather
props and come up with a costume for your person. Be sure to
let the teacher know if you need help in getting props or a costume
together.
- A living museum will be set up in the
Northwest hallways or gym. You will be responsible for setting
up your exhibit and be ready for visitors at all times. The
museum will be open during the day and you may invite guest to see
you perform!
- ***Bonus*** Create a poster that contains
characters name, your name, a cut out of Missouri, bibliography and
interesting facts about your character.
