Communication Arts: The first unit in our building is "New Places, New Faces." This will involve both reading and spelling.

Mathematics: We have a new series this year throughout the elementary division. It is from Harcourt Publishers, it should be a great benefit to the kids!! A building policy is nightly math homework, except for the last day of the week. So please help your child to remember to do this nightly duty.

Social Studies: We will focus on Missouri history this year. This is an area I love to teach, so hopefully a lot will be learned and the students will have fun doing it! We are going to start off the year learning about the geographic features of the state.

Science: My class along with Mrs. Romey's class will be switching for Science and Social Studies. Mrs. Romey is planning on beginning the year with animals and thier habitats.
