Hello,
I hope you have enjoyed your summer so far. I have worked on my web page and have begun plans for the start of school. I can't wait!

Don't forget to read this summer. If you will keep track of the books you read over the summer, you can add them to your reading circle list. Keep track of the name of the book, whether it is non-fiction or fiction, and have your parent's sign the list. Reading circle requirements for 5th grade are: 13 Fiction and 7 Non-fiction (true) books.

Collect pop tabs, Box Tops and Campbell Soup Labels. Bueker collects the pop tabs and donates them to McDonald's to support the Ronald McDonald House. The house helps families of sick children during hospital stays. Campbell Soup Labels are collected and exchanged for playground equipment and the Box Tops help with technology.

August will be hot. The annex is air conditioned. If you get cold easily, you may need to bring a sweater/jacket to wear. We do not have water fountains in the annex. You may want to bring a water bottle with you. Please be sure that the bottle has a lid and does not leak.

Your classroom is an eMINTS classroom. This is the eighth year of the project for me. There are currently eight eMINTS classrooms at Bueker. We are excited!
