The Task

Did you know...

  • The majority of Guinness World Records come from the USA.
  • An average of 30 record breaking attempts are made in the USA every day.

Although records can be made or broken any day of the year, in 2005, Guinness World Records Day was started. Each year one special day in November is set aside for people around the world to attempt to make and break Guinness records. This year our school has decided to host a Bueker School Records Day for the fifth graders at Bueker Middle School.
How will YOU participate in Bueker School Records Day?

Your task is to:

  • learn to work cooperatively with a team of 4
  • design and describe a record breaking feat that can be completed safely by an individual in less than 2 minutes
  • document and record results of fifth grade student participation in the event you sponsor at Bueker School Records Day
  • create a book page, including a photo and data, documenting the record and winning participant

You will be evaluated on your ability to work together to create and implement an outstanding activity and your final copy of a book page.

Can your team work together to design a fantastic record breaking event?
