We
are into 2012 of the 2011-12 school year. The first semester
of school has passed by in a flash with lots of reading
and fun in the library.
The
first big activity
at both libraries in 2012
will be January 30, the
100th Day of School.
Always a big time for Kindergarten students as they
count everything and bring their collections of 100 things
to share.
February 27 - March 2,
Dr. Seuss Celebration at EW is next, with
a week filled of activities to honor this famous Children's
author.
The
library at both schools will be hosting the spring Scholastic
Book Fair which will be open during during Parent/Teacher
Conferences, March 14 and
15.
Both
schools are reading the Show Me Reader and Mark Twain Nominees,
so they will be ready to cast their ballots for this year's
winning title. The schools will be voting in March.
There
are great reads to be discovered for students at Eastwood
and Northwest. Many students have discovered them, with
many more to enjoy.

Lewis, Librarian
