All visitors/parents must report to the Office before proceeding elsewhere in the building. We want to keep your child safe while at school.

Students are to follow the basic classroom, playground, and teacher rules for Northwest School. These rules are for the protection of the student.

Northwest School follows the BIST (Behavior Intervention Support Teams) discipline plan. It is a prevention based plan that is aimed at more time for your child to learn and less time spent on problems.

Reading Circle - 12 fiction and 6 nonfiction book reports.

Pizza Hut Book It - To receive a Book It coupon, the student must read and turn in a book report equivalent to 100 pages each month. This book report can also be used for his/her Reading Circle.

A Parent's Guide to Study Tips

Organize your child's study time. Set a pattern of study: what needs to be studied, where it will be studied, when it will be studied, and how it will be studied.

Monitor your child's time. Study, television, computer, and bedtime should be clearly known to both parent and child.

Keep study resources at home; pens, pencils, rulers, and a dictionary.

Talk about school. If you show an interest, your child will show an interest.
