In an effort to address the alarming increase in the number of overweight children in America, Congress enacted Section 204 of Public Law 108-265 in 2004. This law requires all school districts that participate in the National School Lunch and/or National School Breakfast Programs establish a local wellness policy by the beginning of the 2006-2007 school year.

This site is intended to help parents, students and educators alike to understand the wellness policy of the Marshall Public Schools. The site provided information on the mandates of the law, why the law is needed
and introduces you to the members of the committee.

Use the links on the left side to find specific areas of interest or browse the entire site.

Below, you will find the Wellness Committee Survey Comments and results of the Wellness Questionaire.

"The Wellness Committee is evaluating the results and collaborating on potential recommendations and/or changes to suit our students. Your feedback is essential and appreciated to improve the wellness program here at Marshall Public Schools. Thank you”
