Reading is Important (An Article from the NW Times)
Thursday, May 02, 2019

Do you want to know why you need to know how to read and write? Well, if you don’t then I’ll tell you!

Reading helps you understand the signs on the streets that you pass by every day, for example the STOP signs mean stop and the NO PARKING signs mean to not park in this area were the sign is. Reading means that you get to learn new words that you don’t know!

Reading is also about reading the posters that show us the rules in school, for example you have to follow the 5 rules to be successful in school. Rule #1 FOLLOW DIRECTIONS QUICKLY, Rule #2, RAISE YOUR HAND FOR PERMISSION TO SPEAK, Rule #3 RAISE YOUR HAND FOR PERMISSION TO LEAVE YOUR SEAT, Rule #4 MAKE SMART CHOICES, Rule #5, KEEP YOUR DEAR TEACHER HAPPY.

And reading those 5 directions are important for success at Northwest.
