Total Eclipse at Benton

Student's at Benton Elementary enjoyed a fun day of learning at the Total Eclipse on Monday, August 21, 2017!  Students participated in a Solar Eclipse safety assembly where they practiced their safe viewing song written by Music Teacher Mrs. Foreman. Then each grade level spent the morning in special Eclipse Centers.  These included special snacks, eclipse painting, moon rocks, and eclipse models.  The big finale was watching Totality on our very own playground.  It was a great day!  Thanks to Wood & Huston Bank, Red Cross Pharmacy, and Fitzgibbon Hospital for supplying the students, faculty, and staff with Eclipse Glasses!!!!
