On January 11, 2024, SCCC DECA received a generous sponsorship from CFM Insurance, Inc. of Concordia, MO. The donation of $2000 will help support and sustain the chapter funding this year. Over 30 members are preparing for competition this month. The competition is during the spring semester starting with district competition, which is held at UMKC on February 7, 2024. State competition will be March 3-5, 2024 in Kansas City, MO near Crown Center. International Competition will be held in Anaheim, California on April 26-May 1, 2024.
This year some of the local organizations the SCCC DECA chapter worked to promote include the Marshall Food Pantry and the Animal Shelter. Additional projects that members are working on are a business solutions plan to help teach young voters how to register to vote and where to go when voting, a community awareness project to raise awareness for human trafficking, several integrated marketing plans, and many more. DECA members enjoy giving back to our community, which has supported the chapter every step of the way. Results of district competition will be released in February. SCCC DECA provides a sponsorship level, which includes advertising opportunities through SCCC DECA for each business that sponsors the chapter. Dough4DECA is completed by chapter members as a source of funding for ICDC.
