Dear MPS families,

Please know we miss all of our students and families and we hope you all are well and enjoying your summer.

Please understand we are currently working on Marshall Public Schools “Returning to Learning” plan.  This plan will be presented to the MPS School Board on Tuesday, July 21st.

We have opened our online registration to provide the opportunity for families to register safely and on their own time.  All students who attend or plan to attend MPS must be registered no matter what the return to school plan looks like.  We are trying to make decisions that are best for our students, staff and families.  By not registering you will be hindering the plans because we will not have an idea of our enrollment numbers.

If you were to decide to provide education to your student by homeschooling (the home is providing the schooling and curriculum), meaning you pay for the curriculum or create your own then you would have to withdraw your student(s).  MPS will offer distance learning (schooling at home, so the school is providing the curriculum) in our plan, and if you choose this option, then your child has to have completed registration paperwork with MPS.  There is information in our registration packet that helps us plan for distance learning, so the input from our families is pertinent as we move forward.

Please help us be safe and have more information by registering as soon as you can, you will be helping our students, our teachers and the community as we move forward in this uncharted territory.
