TOM BUTTERFIELD EARLY CHILDHOOD CENTER

MPS Board Member Jack Lenz was recently recognized at the December School Board Meeting by the Missouri School Boards Association and the Missouri Association of Rural Education. Mr. Lenz, 90, is believed to be the oldest active serving Board member in the state of Missouri.

MSBA Senior Director Linda Quinley, MPS Superintendent Caleb Petet, MPS School Board President Bryon Jacques, and members of his family helped present this honor to him.

We are proud to have Jack Lenz as one of our elected members of the Marshall Public Schools organization, and we congratulate him for this honor. He is an inspiration to so many Owls and a great representative of the Marshall community!

The MHS Dance Force Clinic for kids is coming up soon. it is for anyone from 4 years old through 8th grade. See the attached flyer for more information. The form is due back on January 6th when we return from break!

Marshall Public Schools will not have in-person classes tomorrow, Tuesday, December 2nd, due to inclement weather and road conditions. This is Alternative Methods of Instruction (AMI) Day #1.

Students can check their Google Classroom or student email if they have questions about AMI packets or other work to be done for AMI Day #1. Please stay safe and warm at home!

Marshall Public Schools is dismissing classes at 12:30 today (Monday, December, 1st) due to inclement weather. There will be no afternoon classes at Early Childhood, and all after-school activities, practices, and other events are cancelled. Stay safe and warm!

Happy Friday from Benton School! Fab-Friday was a lot of fun on this cold day! Have a great weekend!

Today we celebrated at Benton School! The Worthy Wolves had their celebration for winning during the month of December. We also celebrated Reflex progress in Math and Fab Friday!

The Benton School Christmas Skit was a hit! The kids loved seeing the teachers/staff dressed up for their various parts, acting out the story, The Night Before Christmas. Merry Christmas!!

4th grade students at Benton, did a research project on "Holidays Around The World". Some students dressed like the country of their choosing and some even brought snacks/drinks from their country. The students did an amazing job with their presentation boards, and the 3rd graders loved walking through and looking at the presentations as well.

Mrs. Norman and Mrs. Zank wore their "Winter Luau gear" for dress up day at Benton School.

The winner of the best decorated door was..... (drumroll please)... MRS. ALLEN'S CLASS! Congratulations! They chose to celebrate their win with a Pizza party!
