woohoo

On behalf of MPS, I want to say first, thank you to our business owners, our farmers, and our homeowners that support our levy, even if they don’t have kids in the district.  Businesses especially, who will pay more than others to invest in our schools.  We saw your signs up, heard your voices, and we will not let you down.

I want to say second, a huge thank you to our Vote Yes committee and board of education members. So many people that gave so much of their time, I wish I could list you all, but I have to say specifically: Bryon Jacques, Michelle Pointer, Cassie Bruce, Wick Jacobi and Andy Linsenbardt.  Thank you to our faculty and staff, who I believe in so much.  This is a great town and a great school.  We are going to continue to support our little town and make sure we give back to the businesses that we have here as much as we can.   Not just because of this levy, but because it is the right thing to do.  We are going to continue to strive to work closely with Parks and Rec, and the city.  Expect to keep seeing and hearing that about MPS.  Together as one town and one team, that is the only way.  Marshall has been waiting.  We have an obligation now to do the work together.  Our future just opened up to so many great possibilities.

Last thing, there have been so many retired teachers and staff, community members, and people that love this town and school that have spoken with me about the PRIDE we have had in the past.

We commit to all of you, with this levy, we will start a new era in MPS history and the future is as bright as ever.  Marshall, the PRIDE is back, and safety and security are on the way.

It is a great day to be an Owl, and live in Marshall.  Go Owls! Now we are getting to work to deliver on our promises.
