🎄Holidays around the world🎄The classrooms rotated to all the different countries to learn about the holiday in that country. We had Brazil, Italy, France, Canada, Japan, Russia, Germany and Australia.

We had the Java Cafe at Benton School for our 3rd Graders. We had 4th grade helpers serve the 3rd graders. Olaf and Santa came to visit too! Thank you to the PTO ladies for coming to help prepare everything! Each student received hot chocolate and a chocolate chip cookie. Each classroom received an indoor recess game for Christmas as well.🫰 "Snaps" to each student that got up and read their poem. We have lots of brave students!

Eastwood held their annual Java Cafe today. Students enjoyed being served a hot chocolate and a yummy cookie. Afterwards they had a chance to share some poetry they've been writing in the Open Mic time of the event. Great job 3rd Graders!
Over the last couple weeks our classrooms have been working on decorating their doors for “Holidays around the World”. 🌎Each classroom chose a Country to represent and decorated their doors according to their country. We had some super creative designs! Friday, each student voted on their favorite door. The winning classroom was… drum roll please 🥁, MRS. KELLY’S CLASS!! They chose an ice cream party to celebrate their win! Congrats France!
We had our house meeting at Benton this morning. We celebrated students that tested ADVANCED/PROFICIENT in the areas of Math & Reading on the Spring MAP testing last year, students that tested in the TOP 3, in the area of Math & Reading, students and teacher that had 95% or better attendance for December, and one leader from each class for the month of December. Congratulations to all of our winners this month!
Congrats to these outstanding scholars! They received awards today for top scoring in both math and reading for our spring 2024 MAP testing. We are so proud of you!
