Glow 2025!
Glow Party 2025! 3rd and 4th graders at Eastwood earned a Glow Party! We enjoyed bowling, snow cones, electric drawing, cake walk, and yes even glow in the dark tattoos! Fun was had by all!
In April we wear blue for Child Abuse Awareness.

Mrs. Kueker and Mrs. Gann took some of the 4th and 5th graders to the Children’s Literature Festival in Warrensburg on the UCM campus. Students who joined the Mark Twain Readers Club or entered the lit fest bookmark contest were eligible to attend. They saw 4 different authors who write a variety of genres and even got to see an author whose book is nominated for the Mark Twain award this year! Students noticed a common theme among all the authors—-writing a book is a long process with multiple steps and authors get a lot of their ideas from things they see in their everyday lives. The students are excited to read books from some of the authors they met today!
We had some fun breakfast visitors the other day for National School Breakfast Week 2025. So amazing! Thanks for joining the morning excitement!
And the Clean Classroom Award goes to.... Mrs. O'Bryan's 3rd grade classroom! Congrats on keep things clean and organized! We are proud of you!
Congrats to our very own Ms. Jan Davidson! She was recognized this Monday for being such an amazing owl to our little owls during drop off every morning! We are so thankful she is part of our team! Thanks for all you do!

Wednesday, March 12 is Elementary PTO Pizza Night! We sent home little coupon slips for you to present with your students teacher name. The class with the most participation, wins a PIZZA PARTY!

Benton had 4 Missouri Valley College students come read to our 3rd graders for National Read Across America Week. Thank you MVC!

Congrats to our very own Julianna Maupin for attending the MMEA with Ms. Gorsett. Julianna performed with other elementary students from all around Missouri in the All-State Children's Choir. We are so proud of you, Julianna!
