Mrs. Kueker and Mrs. Gann took some of the 4th and 5th graders to the Children’s Literature Festival in Warrensburg on the UCM campus. Students who joined the Mark Twain Readers Club or entered the lit fest bookmark contest were eligible to attend. They saw 4 different authors who write a variety of genres and even got to see an author whose book is nominated for the Mark Twain award this year! Students noticed a common theme among all the authors—-writing a book is a long process with multiple steps and authors get a lot of their ideas from things they see in their everyday lives. The students are excited to read books from some of the authors they met today!
We had some fun breakfast visitors the other day for National School Breakfast Week 2025. So amazing! Thanks for joining the morning excitement!

Benton had 4 Missouri Valley College students come read to our 3rd graders for National Read Across America Week. Thank you MVC!
