Marshall Mayor signs DECA month Proclamation with SCCC DECA:
On November 1, 2022, Mayor Hendrix met with the Saline County Career Center DECA chapter to present a proclamation declaring November DECA month. DECA began in 1946 and prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in marketing, finance, and hospitality and management at the high school and collegiate level. The SCCC DECA chapter has several activities planned this month to help promote the organization and will be working on several community service activities throughout the year. Members shared with the mayor the projects they are working on this year which include community giving, innovation plans, business solution plans, and integrated marketing projects. During the proclamation, Bailey Kueker, SCCC DECA President and SAT officer, was presented the DECA month proclamation. Afterwards, all members present updated the mayor as to what their projects are this year.
