The West-Central Missouri Music Educators District recently featured the performances of the All-District Bands on January 7th at UCM in Hendricks Hall, and the All-District Orchestra on January 14th at State Fair Community College in the Stauffacher Theatre.  The West-Central District consists of approximately 70 schools in an area that ranges from Boonville to Ray-Pec, and as far south as Warsaw and Rich Hill.  Several students from Marshall High School were selected and featured in both performances, totalling 10 performers with the All-District Bands and 14 performers with the All-District Orchestra.  Additionally, 5 students were selected to both groups!

Performing with the All-District Bands: Rebecca Gonzalez, flute; Jaedyn Borja, clarinet; Hadley Guthrey, trumpet; Reyonna Franklin, flute; Kylie Dickinson, clarinet; Aidyn Wilcoxson, oboe; Eliza Papreck, flute; Trevan Jolliff, trombone; Khody Banty, tuba, and Charlie Guthrey, tuba.

Performing with the All-District Orchestra: Peyton Marshall, cello; Jasmine Salmeron, violin; Chantel Richardson, cello; Bryan Orozco, violin; Colleen Allen, violin; Katarina Simic, viola; Hadley Guthrey, violin; Alli McClinton, cello; Aidyn Wilcoxson, cello; Sherlyn Solano, cello; Eliza Papreck, violin; Lauren Riley, violin; Charlie Guthrey, string bass; and Khody Banty, string bass.

The conductor of the All-District Honorable Mention Band was Ms. Lori Hutton from Drury University, the All-District Honor Band was conducted by Dr. Christopher Knighten from the University of Arkansas, and the All-District Orchestra was conducted by Aimee Veile from Jefferson City High School.  Congratulations to these students on excellent performances!
