MHS Band and Choir Compete is District Competition

Mr. O'Neill, Mrs. Summers and I wanted to share the results of District Music Festival from this past weekend.  The band and choir events performed on Friday evening, and the orchestra events performed on Saturday.  All three of us would like to give HUGE credit to the perseverance of our kids as they prepared solos and small ensembles despite the challenges and circumstances that the past few months have brought for all of us at MHS.  Overall, our music department took approximately 60 entries to the festival, with the following results:

Please congratulate these students for their hard work and perseverance!  Through all of the challenges we have faced, almost 1/3 of the events they performed qualified for State Music Festival by achieving an Exemplary Rating!

Thanks to several of you for your support along the way, it couldn't happen without the flexibility of our MHS faculty as well.

OWL PRIDE!
