Thank you, Rebecca Jones, for being our guest speaker for Cookies and Careers- Dental Hygiene. Rebecca shared with our students her 25 years of experience in the field giving them great insight to what skill sets are valuable and what training, education, and certifications are available and necessary. She also walked them through the day in the life of a hygienist. Such great information!

💧 Science magic? Not quite—just polarity in action! 🔬💧In Mrs. Franklin's Advanced Biology (dual credit) class, students explored water’s polarity with a fun hands-on lab—learning how to actually bend a stream of water!


MHS students in Mr. Weaver's Film Studies class enjoyed watching the re-release of Jaws on the big screen at the Marshall Cinema. Thank you to Kim Thompson and Deegan Ball for facilitating this great experience.


Shout out to State Fair Community College for providing an orientation session for our students taking on-line dual credit classes. They now feel more comfortable and confident navigating their class this fall. Thanks for helping our students be ready for success!




Marshall High School's new teachers have been busy this week preparing for the 2025-2026 school year. Please join us in welcoming the new Marshall High School team members.









We had over 200 students take the ASVAB on Super Test Day. Yesterday a certified test interpreter was here to explain test scores to students. This was valuable information as the ASVAB has an ACT predictor and also offers an excellent career exploration program to use with student results.



Thank you to River Valley Ag Exchange for coming and speaking to our interested students for Cookies and Careers-Agriculture. River Valley Ag Exchange showed students that careers in agriculture are more than just crops and livestock. They also spoke to the importance of planning high school classes with a purpose and making connections in your community.



Today Marshall High School joined thousands of schools across our country to celebrate Decision Day! Congratulations the our seniors who have secured plans for meaningful work, enlisted to server our country in the United States military or who will be entering into post-secondary education in the fall. We are proud of you!



Today MHS seniors learned lifesaving skills such as CPR (for adults and infants) as well as the Heimlich maneuver. Special thanks to the SCCC LPN students and instructors for conducting this hands-on training!

Thank you to Lisa Dover with Table of 5 Catering for being our guest speaker for Cookies & Careers: Culinary. Lisa shared how packing after school meals for their children's sports teams has turned into a successful catering company with mobile catering and food trucks. If you have ever joined us for our beloved food truck day-they are the ones with the delicious wood fired pizzas! Lisa and her husband, Scott, have no culinary background, but are an example that hard work, dreams, and determination can equal success.

Shout out to Watermill Clothing Company for being today's Cookies & Careers: Entrepreneurship guest speakers! Karson and Kassidy took interested students on a journey of what started as a sketch on paper and a dream of three sisters and has turned into a patented design and international business relationships. They inspired students to understand that if you have creativity, resilience, self discipline, a dream, and are a risk taker-you can be an entrepreneur too.




Thank you to our counseling team and Derek Bohnsack from Missouri Valley College for hosting our FAFSA Frenzy last night. We had a great turn out and lots of families were able to get their FAFSA forms submitted! If you were not able to make it, we will hold another FAFSA Frenzy event on February 13th.


Senior Families-Don't stress about the FAFSA! Come to our FAFSA Frenzy and fill out the FAFSA with the support of financial aid experts. Monday, January 27th from 5-7. SCCC Room 8.
