“Teachers Learn Too!”
Thank you to MHS/SCCC Student, Holly Huston, for creating our Micro Learning and PD Bucks t-shirt, brought to you by the Professional Development Committee. This is an initiative to celebrate teachers’ continued learning, classroom applications, and sharing. PD Bucks are earned for taking the extra step to share how a teacher's professional learning has made an impact on them, their students, and/or coworkers.

Congratulations to senior Culinary Arts student, Sam Yung. He placed 2nd in the written portion of the Commercial Baking competition for SkillsUSA Districts. Chef Reyes is his instructor / advisor...nice job! #scccworks

Reminder!
Join a few members of the board of education to discuss...…whatever topic we can. We want to know what you're thinking, are there ideas we are missing? Opportunities slipping by us? Do you want to tell us how great your child's building has been? Do you have questions about the district? We want to know. We want to know what your idea of the future looks like for MPS. We want to know what we can do better, what we are doing right. what you and your child love most, need more of, etc. Having this a week before a meeting gives us the opportunity to get a topic on the agenda and discuss it out loud as a whole board and try to find a solution, an answer or just a piece of mind that we are listening. Format will be a town hall type meeting, available board members will call on those who wish to speak and then a discussion will begin. We ask that you be polite, refrain from profanity and respect those around you. If you are unable to attend please leave your thoughts in the attached google form. https://forms.gle/YFRRfLPmzrYY1RXB9 Also this event will be livestreamed. This link will be available by 5pm on the day of the event on the District website and Facebook. We hope to see you there!!
